1. About
This is the IRBEM-LIB project ("irbem"). IRBEM-LIB provides routines to compute magnetic coordinates for any location in the Earth's magnetic field, to perform coordinate conversions, to evaluate geophysics/space-physics models, and to propagate orbits in time. This project was registered on SourceForge.net on Oct 13, 2008. IRBEM-LIB is sponsored by the Panel on Radiation Belt Models PRBEM

3. News and Notes
- All: On 23 May 2012, bugs were fixed in the Tsyganenko01.f routine and the Tsyganenko04.f routine. Some coefficients in the symmetric ring current component were incorrect (see N. Tsyganenko's errata) and this can cause differences of a few nT up to 20 nT in the inner magnetosphere.
- All: On 4 Jan 2011, a bug was fixed in the AE8_AP8.f routine. It caused incorrect coordinate transforms for time series calls to fly_in_nasa_aeap with GEI coordinates.
- All: On 6/8/2011, the response function format specification and library were updated to change the "XCAL" and "XCAL_RMSE" symbols to "CROSSCALIB" and "CROSSCALIB_RMSE" for consistency with the PRBEM Standard File Format
- Users: On 5/31/2011, a major fix has been applied to the make_lstar_splitting1 routine, which was previously not updating the starting location after the first point. Code and windows DLL have been updated.
- Developers: This project home page is now editable as irbem/web/index.html
